These are two of the more unfamiliar solo cantatas, from 1716, by the most renowned French cantata composer of the eighteenth century. L'ile de Délos is scored for violins, flutes, and continuo, and La muse de l'opéra is for strings, flute, oboes, bassoons, trumpet, timpani, and continuo.
