Neubauer, a little-known but prolific contemporary of Mozart, composed a
large body of works in forms and styles representative of the classical
era. This volume offers some of the best of his chamber music for various
combinations: a quartet for flute, violin, viola, and cello; a string quartet;
a trio for flute, violin (or flute II), and viola; a duo for two violins;
a sonata for violin and viola; and a partita for two clarinets, two horns,
and bassoon.
