Recent Researches in the Music of the Nineteenth and Early Twentieth Centuries

The poet Joseph Eichendorff (1788-1857) was a major figure of musical romanticism in the nineteenth century, and hundreds of composers, among them Robert Schumann and Hugo Wolf, were attracted to his lyric texts. This edition of distinguished Eichendorff songs by lesser-known composers brings to light excellent music by many talented composers.
