Overview

Have a passion for historical music and a desire to encourage the study and performance of works by lesser-known and underrepresented composers?

Join a leading music publisher as a Customer Relationship Specialist, supporting our large customer base of music libraries, academic institutions, and performing arts organizations.

This role combines relationship management with a focus on growing revenue, expanding the customer base, and executing outreach and marketing plans to increase engagement with and awareness of our music editions and other products.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for libraries, performing arts organizations, and educational institutions
  • Provide customer guidance on print and digital subscriptions, permissions and rentals, and product content questions
  • Develop and execute outreach and marketing plans to attract new clients, retain existing ones, and increase product awareness and usage
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Represent the company at conferences and events to build customer relationships

Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service, account management, publishing, arts administration, or marketing
  • Familiarity with music editions, libraries, and/or performing arts organizations
  • Strong communication, outreach, and CRM skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music, Library Science, Arts Administration, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in music librarianship, musicology, or music performance
  • Reading proficiency in foreign language(s), such as French, German, Italian, Latin
