This volume includes all surviving three-voice compositions by Andrea Gabrieli: the thirty three-voice madrigals in his Libro primo de madrigali a tre voci (1575), three-voice compositions by Gabrieli and other composers based on the six stanza of a canzone by Petrarch, and six three-voice giustiniane in Venetian dialect.
