Andrea Gabrieli’s madrigals for five voices constitute the central core of his secular vocal compositions. This volume seven of the twenty-four five-voice works from his Secondo libro a 5 (1570), the madrigals of his Terzo libro a 5 (1589), and sixteen other five-voice madrigals by Gabrieli that survive various late-sixteenth-century madrigal anthologies.
