This edition represents a cross-section of the polyphonic duo repertoire for voices or instruments: duo sections from masses of the Josquin generation and French, German, and Italian secular pieces, gathered for pedagogical purposes (studying voice leading, sight-reading, and solmization) as well as for the pure pleasure of music making. Four German chorales follow the 101 bicinia.
