These concertos, written by the most famous and active violinist-composers of Vivaldi's generation, were selected from one of the most important private collections of instrumental music of the early eighteenth century, which is now in the Bibliothèque nationale, Paris. The variety and flexibility of these works document the progressive elements of the Italian concerto of the early eighteenth century and foreshadow techniques of the emerging classical style.
Giuseppe Matteo Alberti, Concerto 8 (G Minor)
Carlo Alezio Razetti, Concerto 12 (F Minor)
Maurin d'Allay, Concerto 15 (F Minor)
Carlo Tessarini, Concerto 21 (F Major)
